Day Three: Oil pulling

I’ve succesfully made it three whole days.  To be honest, I don’t know how people do this every day.  My mouth aches.  My lips are chapped.  And I haven’t quite gotten rid of the nauseated feeling I’ve had since Monday.  But I did it for a whole 30 minutes on my commute to work!  And if it weren’t for the health benefits of having all of those vitamins and minerals leach into my system from the coconut oil, I would be perfectly happy salivating over a jar of pickles to get rid of toxins.

Changes:

  • Coconut oil tastes infinitely better than sesame seed oil and I don’t feel as sick afterwards
  • Fresher breath (yes, I think it is actually making a difference)
  • I no longer have a headache from Monday…but chances are, that might not be the oil…
